Beautiful clean skin

I used to work at Whole Foods Market, 8 years to be exact, and while I was there I learned a lot about food, skincare, vitamins & supplements, and people. I started out as a cashier then to kitchen prep making salads and entrees and finally to Whole Body, the health and beauty section of the store. People came in asking for sleep remedies, internal cleanses, weight loss supplements, libido enhancers, and skincare products for problem skin.
Many years ago, I had dry skin because I used body soap to clean my face. This is not the best thing for dry, oily, or blemished skin and it will only make it worse. I also used body moisturizer on my face because it was dry. So I decided to buy a facial moisturizer, not just any generic moisturizer, but a natural moisturzer with real ingredients. After using it for a few weeks I noticed my dry patches had disappeared. I eventually started using a facial cleanser with my facial moisturizer and now my skin is normal. Many years ago I was turned on to Dr.Hauschka’s skincare line and I haven’t stopped using it since. I love what the company stands for and their biodynamic farming methods and that all the ingredients are harvested with the best intentions. I use natural skincare products on my face because I care about what I put in and on my body. I don’t eat junk food and I don’t wear junky skincare products. There are many natural skincare lines out there and they are worth looking into. Natural skincare lets your skin breathe and eventually normalizes your skin (along with a healthy diet, exercise, fresh air, clean water, and plenty of sleep). A search online will set you in the right direction, try Peaceful Company for starters, then go to your nearest natural foods store and search the bodycare aisles.
Hey SpaceCaseTrac! How’s you?? I had a chance to skim your blog, and I thought I’d comment- you know I couldn’t resist
February 3rd, 2008 at 7:09 amThat all-over body cleanser you’d used all your life ’til now- it was Zest Head-to-Toe, wasn’t it? Haha! Anyway, this past Christmas Santa was kind enough to leave a nice assortment of books for Mom(me) under The Tree. Along with Vegan with a Vengeance and Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom was Glow by Christina Pirello. The book’s focus is natural skincare with some discussion on whole-body care. I recommend all 3 books, but Glow came to mind when I read this blog.
Leave the junky cosmetics and skin care on the SprawlMart shelves! Walk away- SLOWLY! Then, get out into the sunlight for a dose of Vit D and march on, Sistah!
