Cloth napkins

I haven’t bought paper towels or disposable napkins in years. I bought a few sets of cloth napkins at Savers Thrift Department Store many years ago and I’m still using them. We use them when we have messy buy yummy tofu-walnut burgers (Nature’s Bakery) or any other kind of mouth messing foods. We were just gifted with new French terry cloth napkins in various beautiful colors. My boyfriend, Jonah, just designed a website for his mom for her new online store Lucky Rainbow Napkins so she gave us a big pack of them. They are so absorbent and soft and you will never need to ask “can I have another napkin?”, because these napkins are nice and big.
We don’t think about the little things, but napkins and paper toweling contribute to unnecessary waste. There are so many little things that sneak by us while we are trying to be eco-conscious. In my house we are pretty good about waste and put a bag of garbage on the curb every 2 or 3 weeks, but what we do throw away is plastic bags from tortilla chips or bags we have been reusing and finally have a hole in them. We compost our produce scraps and buy in bulk to avoid packaging waste. We do have a million bags just from washing and reusing bags that we collect over time. If anybody wants some just let me know. I did find a tutorial online for how to make a tote bag out of plastic bags if anybody wants to try it.
